General Order Questions:
Q: I do not have a DVD drive, can I have a USB or other option?
A: Yes! DVDs are the most cost effective method of transporting your physical media, so we typically output 2 copies with every order as a backup.
You can include a USB with your order (typically 4GB minimum, without data - assume the drive will be wiped blank & formatted) for no charge, or we have USB keys available for purchase at below market pricing.

Cloud Delivery is also available at no charge for speedier access to the scanned files. Files are uploaded in .zip format to file transfers services, with the full resolution images contained in the download (can often exceed 2 to 3GB, so make sure you have a solid internet connection!)
Q: Do you return the original photos, slides, videos, or negatives?
A: Yes - ALL ITEMS SUBMITTED TO PHOTOSCANNING.CA ARE RETURNED in addition to the DVD or USB copies.
Many customers do not wish to receive their original items once verifying the digital files - it is our policy that we prefer to return all items and have the client opt for disposal, but with written confirmation we can discard items in their regular disposal or recycling systems. For secured, documented, or confidential destruction, please ask for a referral to shredding operations in your area.
Q: What is your standard turn around time?
A: Our turn around times are variable based on the current volume, the speed of our processes, and the size of your order. The vast majority of orders are completed in under 2 weeks - this can rise as we near certain holidays such as Christmas & Mothers/Fathers Day, which historically bring significant volume.
Our website will have a current general turn around time, but if you have a specific day or event that you require your project for please make us aware - we will always be able to hit deadlines with notice.
Q: How does your billing work?
A: We have two options for scanning - Pre-paid, where you purchase 1250 photos scanned in the EZ-Box and invoiced where we bill at the conclusion of the project at the per item rates.
Pre-paid, which includes our EZ-Box, is shipped to you after we receive payment and includes up to 1250 scans and all shipping charges.
Q: What payment options do you have?
A: All of our invoicing comes from our online invoicing portal run by Freshbooks - You receive your invoice via email from firstname.lastname@example.org, with payment instructions within.
We currently take:
Visa (Through our hosted portal)
Mastercard (Through our hosted portal)
Interac E-Transfer (to email@example.com, make the password Toronto or let us know)
Cheques (in person or mail)
We do not have a register or change for cash payments in store, and do not take cash via mail. All orders above $2500 are preferred to be paid via cheque.
